Instant Pot Settings Explained in Detail :
- Saute / Browning / Simmer Settings [Use with Lid-Off]
Press Saute Button : To saute in the pressure cooking pot
Press Saute Button + Adjust button once more for Browning
Press Saute Button + Adjust button twice (less) to Simmer - Keep Warm/Cancel Button
Press Keep Warm/Cancel button to cancel a function or turn off your pressure cooker.
If you are using Instant Pot Smart : Use the Adjust button to Reduce or Increase the keep warm temperature from 145° (normal) to 133° (less) and 167° (more). - Manual button [All purpose button]
Press the Manual Button for recipes where you need to pressure cook on high pressure for a specific number of minutes.
Use the “+” and “-” buttons to Increase or Decrease the cooking time. - Soup
Press Soup Button for 30 minutes standard setting
Press Soup Button + Adjust button once more to cook for 40 minutes
Press soup Button + Adjust button twice (less) to cook for 20 minutes - Meat/Stew
Press Meat/Stew Button for High pressure 35 minute cooking time
Press Meat/Stew Button + Adjust button once more for 45 minute cooking time

Suggest to use a rack or steamer basket while using Steam function of Instant Pot to avoid food direct contact with the bottom of the pressure cooking pot
Tips to use Instant Pot :
- Black beans, Pinto beans or Lentils shall be soaked over night and then cooked for 15 minutes
- Cleaning with white distilled vinegar will kill the smell/stinks from various cooking experiments
- Do not put the lid in the dishwasher
- Do not fill liquid higher than the MAX line on the inner pot
- The inner pot can be filled with food over the MAX line for dry food, such as a chicken, pot roast or steaming vegetables
- Wear hand protection while venting steam using release valve
- Not recommended for pressure canning purpose
- Soymilk yogurt doesn’t turn out very well
- You may use separate sealing rings
say for meat, veggies, desserts so that you don’t have to deal with different odors

- Outer Rim is not made of stainless steel and coated with a thick heat-resistant paint
- The Instant Pot doesn’t come with a glass cover. You have to purchase that separately

All beans do not cook at the same time. Soak black beans cook at 6 minutes with a natural release. Soaked blackeye peas.. 3 minutes. Lentils 6 minutes unsoaked.. You are giving people mushy bean directions… LOL
