Finally after waiting for two years, I am really happy to hear to the the announcement of Project Rock Wireless Headphones by my most favorite star Dwayne Johnson. I am sure like the Johnson’s “Project Rock” collection with Under Armour with high selling sneakers as well as record selling line of apparel, the NEW Project Rock Wireless Headphones will surely make it the super hit.

Well historically there are examples where celebrities have successfully launched brands and became richer than ever. To talk about a prominent example of $3-billion acquisition of Beats by  Dr. Dre which made him the richest rapper in the world ! So question is that what it takes to make Dwayne the next billionaire!

Do not forget that its not overnight work but Johnson has worked hard for two years to get these BUILT FOR TRAINING headphones based on personally what he wanted for during his intense workouts. Further looking at the fact that new introduction of headphones will be a part of his Project Rock brand with Under Armour, and as we know that Under Armour has already worked with JBL which again is the most trusted leading audio brand in headphone world. I can say that JBL would be surely the mastermind behind the Under Armour Project Rock which will work as a perfect sound machine during your intense workouts.

Project Rock Wireless Headphones : Dreamed by Dwayne Johnson

Everyone has some or the other dream in his life, even Dwayne has .. the dream of workouts .. day and night .. being the toughest man … His fans love him in movies … So Dwayne thought of making his own headphones for workouts .. I mean not normal but intense workouts … headphones which are comfortable, which does not fall off … headphones which delivers world class sound .. which are capable of listening to your voice commands … truly wireless freedom for hours … Just forget once you charge them full …

So he made it .. he made these wireless workout headphones which are looks stunning in an all-business black color, featuring the Under Armour’s UA logo as well as The Rock’s signature Brahma Bull logo prominently flaunted on the ear piece. Wow! I am loving them so much!!

Further the headphones are built to the best in terms of quality and durability. Looks rock solid due to the visible four screw design and the oversized buttons and switches, provides kind of mechanical touch or you can say industrial look. Very good thought process behind making them big, to have quick and easy access during workouts, no slip due to sweaty fingers. Needless to say that these inputs are personally from the horses mouth after intense testing.

BUILT FOR TRAINING :

The punch line itself indicates that the material selection would be surely sweat proof, I mean absorbent, easy cleaning after the workouts, made to last in place during intense workouts. Comfortable for wearing for long hours.

Well my prediction on Sweat proofing went well and they are Sweat Proof IPX4 rated.

The headband looks to be stuffed by soft material providing support and wearing comfort.

After launch, it matches to most of my predictions of its design features, which clearly indicates an anti-slip, sweat-resistant liner grips which ensures no slippage during the worst workouts. Further it has got breathable SuperVent ear cushions. The fabric used is light weight, durable and fast-drying which is removable & hand washable, precisely this is a must for a person who does heavy workouts every day, where washing the sweated headphones is hygiene factor.

Sound Quality :

As per my expectation, JBL is the master mind behind the Under Armour headphones, and I am sure like they always do, this time also JBL engineers have worked hard to get its signature patented sound technology, software & hardware behind the drivers & acoustics design, bringing one more successful launch in existing series. They need to make sure that the sound signature matches the personality of Dwayne, totally promisable sound.

Inline with my predictions above JBL says “JBL® Charged Sound for bold sound tuned for sport with rich bass to crush your workout”

Battery Life :

Just wait till the month end to get complete detailed specs including the music playtime and quality review on these headphones.

Wow ! it has whooping long lasting battery life … Get listening for extra long 16 hours in single full charge cycle of headphones. Which means if you are using them for 2 hours of workout each day, then they would last for a full week, not a bad idea to recharge them once a week, that’s stunning battery time.

Are they Noise Cancelling ?

Looking closely at the design intent, and comparing the design with existing JBL DUET NC Wireless Over-ear Noise Cancelling Headphones, I think that the proposed design will be available in both versions NC and non-NC. (Check non NC version of JBL DUET here)

As said they have Talk-Thru technology applied which lowers the music volume levels automatically when you receive a call  & turns on speech-optimized, noise-cancelling mics ensuring clear voice calls. So you need not even remove the headphones or touch your mobile phone, simply activate Siri or Google Now and give voice commands to call your family or friends.

Project Rock Wireless Headphones Price :

As on June 2018, Officially Under Armour website does not reveal the availability or price for the Project Rock headphones but as revealed on Instagram, the release date is June 28 and we can surely get some information on technical specs and indicative price before the launch.

Just if you compare the the existing selling series of JBL Under Armour Sport Wireless In-Ear Headphones, as on 20 June 2018 they were selling at around price of $150, considering this we predict that the new Project Rock Wireless Headphones by Dwayne Johnson could be priced somewhere around $200 to $250, lets wait and see for the launch on 28th June.
